Job Description Experienced Electrician responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair and alterations of all electrical equipment at the City-County Building, Marion County Jail and Department of Metropolitan Development properties.

Performs preventative maintenance and repair work to include:

Lighting systems.Air conditioning systems and control circuits.High voltage switch gear.Motors and motor control systems.Window washing equipment.Automatic door system.

Card readers.Fire and smoke alarm systems.Various types of security alarm systems.Intercom systems and public address systems.

Various electrical kitchen equipment systems.Commercial Laundry equipment.Various office equipment Pumps Emergency generators Performs electrical alterations for Building maintained by Downtown operations to include.Assist electrical supervisor in laying out alterations.Installation of switches and receptacles.

Coring of holes.Installation of conduit and pulling wires.Connection of completed electrical circuits to power sources.

Installation of communication cable.Installation of various camera systems.Installation of various fire alarm equipment.Reading of blue prints and schematics diagrams Interpret and apply NEC to job.
