The 1969 GTO model had a few changes from the previous model year which included the elimination of the front door vent windows, grille and taillight revisions, the ignition key moved from the dashboard to the steering column, and the gauge faces were changed to black. In addition, the rear quarter-panel mounted side marker lamps were changed to a broad GTO badge from the previous red lens shaped like the Pontiac "V" crest.
This 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible is powered by its numbers matching 400 CID V8 and is backed by the original TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. Pontiac only produced 7,328 convertible GTO's in 1969 with 4,385 being equipped with an automatic transmission making this car a pretty rare piece.
