For sale is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air located in our Indianapolis Showroom. The 1955 to 1957 Chevy "Tri-Fives" are one the most recognizable and sought after American classics on the market. General Motors executives wanted an entirely new design for 1957 and made changes that included a new dashboard, sealed cowl, the famed '57 tailfins, and the relocation of air ducts to the headlight pods, which resulted in the distinctive chrome headlight that helped make the '57 Chevy an icon.
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is powered by its rebuilt 327 CID V8 engine, backed by a Borg Warner T-10 4-speed manual transmission, running to a 3.73 Posi rear end. The small block 327 was professionally rebuilt with the block being bored .060 over with the addition of a mild cam and Keith Black high dome pistons with only 1,000 miles on the build. Options on this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air for sale include: Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Radial Tires. The body was sanded down and professionally painted in a plum metallic base coat/clear coat back in 2001. After paint a new black vinyl top was put back on and compliments the slick paint job. The interior is decked out with vinyl coverings along with a set of gauges custom mounted in the dash. Recent upgrades include a new aluminum water pump and a front disc power brake conversion with 2" drop spindles. This '57 Chevy Bel Air is blast to drive and turns heads wherever it goes.
